Migraine throbbing as she slowly opens up her eyes
Another morning she awakens somewhere she don't recognize
Silently she stumbles out of bed to gather up her clothes
And try to slip away before he awakes and begs her not to go
She cries, trying to outrun issues inside her head
Trying to convince herself that she'll find what she needs in a stranger's bed
Rays of sunshine cut through the blinds to stir him wide awake
Rolling on his side only to find an empty resting place
He throws the sheets onto the floor and stumbles over to the fridge
To down another bottle of the hard stuff so his heart won't need to give
He sighs, drowning the loneliness inside his chest
Trying to convince himself that someday one will stay with him in bed
She cries, trying to outrun issues inside her head
Trying to convince herself that she'll find what she needs in a stranger's bed
He sighs, drowning the loneliness inside his chest
Trying to convince himself that someday one will stay with him in bed
