Seulitude - The Parking Lot at the Back Lyrics

I don't light any candles in honour of any spirits, think I got a handle on having no gimmicks
I someone is dead then they're (just) f*cking dead to me
And in that I see a kind of poetry
You call me a blowout and you're probably right, all my candles been blown out out into the night

A long time ago
Birthday cakes don't stand a chance around me you know
High as a kite
No end in sight

My calendar doesn't respect the speed limit anymore
It just keeps on going faster
I don't care, I still have those nights
Laughing is all that really matters, thinking about doing things almost right

Pulling smiles out of all your mouths
My teeth will always be yellow like me and the ugly sun
F*ck your marketing and your holy gun
High as a kite
High as a kite

No one becomes a saint just cause they're lowered into the ground
I secretly wish that maybe someone would light me a new one
But for now it's just dark enough to see the stars
The news will never talk about where we were, I don't care don't wanna be in your newspaper

In my last bed
I'll remember in my head
Those great times we had when none of us were sad
It only lasts so long, no one is strong
High as a kite
High as a kite

Even though one day I know I'll wake up
Forgotten by everyone, I won't have forgotten

I'll keep those nights close to my heart
Like they never stopped happening and we're never apart
I'll keep that empty parking lot close to my heart
I'll keep that nasty joint close to my heart
I'll keep those funny walks close to my heart

When nothing matters cause tomorrow I don't have to wake up early anymore
I will remember I swear I'll remember
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but not really you know
Don't let my voice become an echo

I don't light any candles in honour of any spirits
Think I got a handle on having no gimmicks
I someone is dead then they're (just) f*cking dead to me
And in that I see a kind of poetry
Cause all my candles been blown out a long time ago
Birthday cakes don't stand a chance around me you know
High as a kite
No end in sight
I swear I'll remember and I'll smile

And when I'm in my last bed
Maybe I won't remember exactly what you said
But I'll remember we laughed (aloud)
And that's all that really matters
