I Saw Mommy Kissing Frankenstein
By Bruce Alan Marcom
[pipe organ][Chimes][Jingle]
Verse 1:
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The cobwebs were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that Frankenstein soon would be there.
Chorus:
I saw Mommy kissing Frankenstein,
Underneath the mistletoe last night.
She didn't see me creep down the stairs to peek,
She thought I was tucked up in my coffin, fast asleep.
[pipe organ]
Verse 2:
Then out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a bat,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
Chorus:
I saw Mommy kissing Frankenstein,
Underneath the mistletoe last night.
She didn't see me creep down the stairs to peek,
She thought I was tucked up in my coffin, fast asleep.
[pipe organ]
Verse 3:
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature hearse, and eight zombie reindeer.
Final Chorus:
I saw Mommy kissing Frankenstein,
She didn't see me giggle and grin.
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Frankenstein last night!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good fright!
