Let me tell you a story of a different time
It was 2011
Me and your uncle CJ came home from a long day at school
Sat down and turned on the Xbox 360
We noticed there was a
New game being advertised in the Xbox shop
It was called "Minecraft"
Now, I saw it and clicked on it
The game looked so fun just by the trailers
So, I asked your grandma if she'd buy it for me
She looked at me and said, "Son, I'll get it for you
But only if you make into the varsety team this year"
From that day on, I played football like there was no tomorrow all that year
And well, on December 25th, 2011
I opened up my presents and to my surprise, inside was a copy of Minecraft
Now, as the little kid I was, I immediately popped open the tray on the Xbox
I put it in, and that was the best Christmas I ever had as a kid
I would stay up late nights with friends
I'd never really meet building structures and playing survival worlds
And I'd always look forward to coming home after school
Just to play my split screen world with your uncle CJ
Days would fly by like it was nothing
And yet through the 100s, of 1,000s of hours I had played
I never got bored of the game
One day, I had met this random kid online
Can you guess who it was?
That's right, your uncle Marcus
Now, this was after the Xbox 360 days
But only a few months after I switched over to computer gaming
Me and your uncle would fight often
And there was also this other kid we would play with
His name was Riley but he's not significant to the story
Anyway, me and Marcus would play Minecraft PC like there was no tomorrow
Playing on these big servers and always dominating these public lobbies
This was how I chose to spend my time when I was your age
And you know what, son? I don't regret it at all
I hope you can find that one special thing closest to you
And do that all you want throughout your childhood
I want you to be able to grow up and experience the same things I did as a kid

I know it's cheesy and really old, but I promise, after 30 minutes of playing
