Felt awash in the ebb and flow
Pulled me far from the direction I know
For awhile, thought I'd caught a glimpse of the glow
Now I just see the screen and the light it throws
A lack of effort keeps me locked in the phrase
A body tethered to its usual ways
Until then, My polished vessel crackles under the glaze
Give a little gas but it's just shifting in place
Long scratch for absurdist rash
Embrace whatever left you feeling abashed
Before long, our tender bodies dissipate into ash
The confidence you've anchored is the reason to crash
