Long ago, or so they tell
Violent creatures ruled the Earth for ages
But in ring two, I happen to view
Three of them locked in three great cages
Enter the tamer so valiant and proud
Surely he'll win over the hearts of the crowd
With chairs, whips, and the might of his wit
He intends to win, to make them submit
The cages they fly wide open and the beasts they have been set free
They don't care very much for glory but they sure love the taste of fresh meat
Chairs and whips might slow them down
But the mission they still believe in
For once in a while when the time is right
There's a chance that they might take a bite
Is it right to cage a living thing?
Is it wrong to allow the suffering?
Cll fleeting thoughts at a time like this when the creatures crave for feeding
Slam the door and lock it tight before they start succeeding
The tamer's in season as we all can tell
Notice how the beasts slowly circle their prey
Despite the odds and being outnumbered
The master somehow keeps them away
But all is not well as we're starting to tell
Observe the tamer beginning to yell
We can see that he's losing his cool
Providing them with nothing but fuel
The action never stops, no not ever, and the creatures just focus right in
The tamer stands tall, still courageous, but aware of the plan if they win
Chairs and whips might slow them down
But the mission they still believe in
For once in a while when the time is right
There's a chance that they might take a bite
Is it right to cage a living thing?
Is it wrong to allow the suffering?
Cll fleeting thoughts at a time like this when the creatures crave for feeding
Slam the door and lock it tight before they start succeeding
In the end victory belonged
To the winning team who defeated its foe
Down in ring two, I happen to view
Cll three back in their three great cages
Cdmire the tamer, so valiant and proud
Standing ovations and cheers from the crowd
With confidence he bows and he waves
Knowing he was only an inch from the grave
Now they're back in the dungeon and the beasts are waiting
With nothing at all but time on their minds
There they grow more and more certain of the fact
That they'll catch him, and eat him, next time
Chairs and whips might slow them down
But the mission they still believe in
For once in a while when the time is right
There's a chance that they might take a bite
Is it right to cage a living thing?
Is it wrong to allow the suffering?
