In a no mans land
I rest for a while
Dreaming away to the place of my longing
An open field
The sky is clear
But in the wind I hear the branches sighing
And now I'm chasing a dream
Hidden in the heartland
The roots we left behind
And how they swept across the land
Shredding all the memories
Generations lost
And the voice from the past
Begins to fade
A tone which is now forever fled
From these lessons
We have learned
There is nothing more to understand
Home ain't a place that gold can buy
Why do we run without a fight
Time who can tell the reason why
Is this the dying of the light
Home to where we always will return
And our wings are made of trust
Time in the end we all will learn
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
