One grey day,
I was walking along,
Singing a song,
Tryin to make friends with bumble-bees,
I caught one,
Then I got stung,
I had to make a plan,
I had to make what really happened seem exciting,
For a thrill,
I marched right up the hill, hill, hill,
Then I looked around right down at the town and yelled!
Hey, everybody!
Help! help! help!
There's a beast, there's a ghoul, there's a zombie from the moon!
And I don't know what to do! Ahh!!!
Zuggabugga, bugga, bugga,
Zuggabugga, bugga, bugga boo, ooo,
Silly fools!
Two days past,
I was shuffling along,
Doing no wrong,
Tryin to think of something that would excite me,
Then I recalled,
Two days before,
When I had a laugh,
And came up with a funny story that was frightening,
Let's do it again!
Then the whole town,
Rushed, right up the hill,
Oh what a thrill!
And I laughed so hard,
As the people stumbled and fell,
They arrived on the scene,
Completely confused, and un-amused,
So I smiled a great big grin
And told them the news,
There, is, no,
Boo! Boo! boo!!
Zuggabugga, bugga, bugga,
Zuggabugga, bugga, bugga boo, ooo,
I fooled you!
Late that night,
Outside my window,
I heard a sound,
That made me shiver so,
Coldly,
Could I go boldly, back to bed?
Knowing that this monster I had,
Made up could be more than in my head!
I should hide beneath my bed!
Quick! quick! Now!
Help help help! There's a beast,
There's a ghoul, there's a zuggabuggaboo,
And I don't know what to do! Ahh!
Then I heard some laughter,
Come from outside, side, side,
It was the all the people from town,
To whom, I had lied,
After snuggles and some huggles,
I realized that lying,
Isn't fun, no! not for anyone!
There, is, no,
Zuggabugga, bugga, bugga,
Zuggabugga, bugga, bugga, boo, ooo,
Now I tell the truth,
There, is, no,
Zuggabugga, bugga, bugga,
Zuggabugga, bugga, bugga, boo, ooo,
Now I tell the truth,
And so can you!
Let's tell the truth!"
