Sitting alone in my thoughts, wondering if they're all knots
Not conscious of where I stand, shocks, if I'm safe, or if I'm just lost
Used to this, I can't get used to this
I tried so hard, but I set the bar too high
I'm losing interest in all of the things I love
I'm hoping something above will bring me back down
Right on the ground, why is it never enough
Expectations messing with my creativity
Focused on the outcome, not living here just for me
Said I'm trying, improvising
If I said that it was easy, I was lying
Who knew that this was the cost
Funny how you think you call the shots
Does it scare you, not having control?
Making sense of the things you don't know
Making sense of the life that I chose
Can't convince but it's something you'll know
You'll show me if you're really willing to grow
Finding it easier as the days go
