Snatched from the sea so many years ago
Witness to the slaughter by my deadly foe
Brought to a prison and starved so I'd learn
But the wide open ocean is all that I yearn
Decades go by and my pain you can see
But I'm sensing a change how they feel about me
Day after day my life is just the same
I feel so tortured and pained but for them it's a game
I was born in the wild not in captivity
I remember the difference what it's like to be free
Once they looked at me, with wonder and awe
But now it's pity, empathy, compassion and more
Moonlight shines on my dorsal fin
Standing tall cutting through the sea I'm in
At home where it's always meant to be
You can change and learn from your mistakes
And make the world a better place
But hurry up the clock is ticking by
Take your heads out of the sand
And look to the sky
Moonlight shines on my dorsal fin
Standing tall cutting through the sea I'm in
At home where it's always meant to be
Moonlight shines on my dorsal fin
Standing tall cutting through the sea I'm in
At home where it's always meant to be
