From ancient Babylon
Upon a hill a tower will shine
As the resplendent Marduk
The sun god
Steps from heaven
And in celestial glory
Ignites the ground and
Pulls forth a shinning tower
For all to marvel
A ziggurat to reach to the sun
A beacon for all of man
To fall and worship
An antenna to speak
With the gods in one voice
A wonder unlike any before it
All those who stands at the gates
Will weep at such resplendence
Standing at the gates Babel
After his battle with mighty Tiamat
Marduk left her torn
Asunder in the heavens above
He built this tower so all can
Bask in his eternal glory
And that of ancient Babylon
