From Helvitia down to Summersville
Laid a home to rest my legs
A robot lady to satisfy me
Another collects scrap like rakin' fallen leaves
I left them to watch over my home
A place called the Sworrior's Rest
A place where folks stopped and admired
A home to lay my head when I tire
But a call of doom rang through the room
Yelling about incomin' screamin' fire
Now she's gone away! Away! It's all gone
A nuke done blew out my home
Nothin' left but ashes and embers
The bomb left me, all alone
Holes marked the walls where a structure held stable
For a long long, long long while
But spite got to the better of a sunken mind
And he turned up the dial
He launched that nuke right next to my baby
Now she's just scratches left from flame
No pinball, no slots, no hanky-panky
That mushroom cloud meant the end of my dame
Now she's gone away! Away! It's all gone
A nuke done blew out my home
Nothin' left but ashes and embers
The bomb left me, all alone
I picked up my hammer and an oily wrench
And I got. to work. at it again
Brick by brick I put back my home
And I made myself a comfy den
My baby came back and she smiled at me
Gave me a kiss and wouldn't let me be
But soon a siren rang out through the night
I woke up with burns and she was out like a light
Now she's gone away! Away! It's all gone
A nuke done blew out my home
Nothin' left but ashes and embers
The bomb left me, all alone
She's gone away! Away! It's all gone
That crazy nut blew away my home
I tell ya there was nothin' but ashes and embers
'Cause that bomb left me, all alone
