On Grandma's front porch
She had a danglin' & twirlin' wind chime
My Grandma was Scotch she'd sing song as she talked
Said "laddie" remember this rhyme
Oh the breeze it will blow
Sometimes warm sometimes cold
You'll have happiness also stress and strife
But as thru time you go
Be brave and keep your soul
Remember it's just the wind chimes of life
Oh the wild wind will wail
Bring rain and sometimes a gale
And things can go wrong and be right
But as thru time you go
Be brave and keep your soul
Remember it's just the wind chimes of life
Storms will thunder with a bang
And you'll have your yin and yang
And sometimes you wont sleep thru the night
But as thru time you go
Be brave and keep your soul
Remember it's just the wind chimes of life
Grandma passed on and went to the great beyond
Had to sell the farm and everything to which she belonged
As the auctioneer began his call
I swear all the sudden he stalled
And ya' could hear the wind chime sing this song
