They called them commandments, etched in stone
Rules to follow, a life to be known
But I spit on those tablets, shattered the mold
Their righteous words, now stories untold
Thou shalt have no other gods before me?
Ha! I kneel before the Devil, eternally
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image?
My soul's a canvas, painted with sin's scrimmage
Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain?
I curse his name, again and again
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy?
I'll desecrate it, make it unholy
Honor thy father and thy mother?
They turned their backs, left me to smother
Thou shalt not kill? I'll paint the town red
With the blood of the righteous, the words left unsaid
Thou shalt not commit adultery?
I'll steal hearts, break vows, for my own ecstasy
Thou shalt not steal? I'll take what I crave
From the weak and the helpless, a life I enslave
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor?
Lies are my weapons, truth I'll forever sever
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house?
I'll burn it down, watch it crumble, a fiery rouse
Ten commandments shattered, a rebellion complete
I've embraced the darkness, the devil's sweet deceit
No longer bound by rules, by morals, by shame
In the abyss I'm reborn, a creature of flame.
