Angelika lives two houses down from me
She's always home. I never see her leave
From her chair she gazes out the window
And looks for things you only find in dreams
And it makes me feel bad
To see my lady so sad
Will she ever look at me again and return to what we had
I waited for years
To have my lady this near
But she came back without her song. She never found her balladeer
I always knew I'd found what I was looking for
But Angie felt there must be something more
She crossed the mountains and sailed the oceans
But she's never been this far away before
I don't know what to do
I'd tell her if I knew
I would answer all her questions if I only had a clue
But she stays inside
Put a hold on both our lives
And question marks still dance before her eyes
Angelika lives two houses down from me
But she's far away, too far for me to see
She disappeared into infinity
