Like insolent petulant children
You whine and opine on how you come
To your current situation
Walking down the hall
Clueless to where you are at all
Feeding the flames with your tall tailed,
Half suspicions
It's hard to blame you, it's not your fault
Can we make it better, or is it all for naught
That ship just sailed
The dissonant keep
Trying to explain their thoughts and feelings
With meanings and words
But with words without meaning
Just shut it now, you not only lost the plot somehow
Your latest obsession, driven deep to keep distressing
Man overboard, drowning in desperation
Just when you think you've got it made
Someone in the crowd goes a shade too loud
One who feels endowed to mess it up for the rest us
Can't let their noise create a cloud
We all roll our eyes, attempt to laugh it off
Cause life's too short for this kind of stuff
They think they're clever, they think they're bold
But wish they'd break free from what they're told
They just keep repeating the same thing over and over and over...
We've got to know who is providing the why's
We've got to learn how to extinguish the lies
We've got to show when to sever the ties
Or else we're just the blind leading the blind
We roll our eyes, try to laugh it off
Cause life's too short to write you off
They're forever clever, forever bold
Forever wishing they're a little older
To see through their blinding naivete,
That they are bound too
It's so natural to raise our shield, our guard and our guide
Cause when in doubt, YOU double down
