Alive and well, a lie to tell
My mind races, it's hard to find faces
I always complain about the sun, I can't take the heat
I blame the moon in my room when it's too bright to sleep
Seize the bees from the trees like a sting makes me bleed
Then blast grass until it can't pass the concrete
The rain had me down
I felt the pain from the clouds
But it couldn't wash away the stains
They remain here and now
The songbirds sang wrong words in concert
It seemed I didn't belong on earth
The clouds are a gruesome grey
The ground will soon decay
No sound since they moved away
We found a true escape
I'm afraid I won't say the right words
That I will choke on the dirt
When all of this is on my mind
The time will come for us
Such a pity we weren't privy to last encounters
Pass the hours like rats and cowards, underground
Survival of the fittest
Use the bible as a hit list
Call it spiteful, entitled
What is vital and who isn't?
As my skin begins to loosen
I expected to be rid of this nuisance
Call it lucid or delusion
The evolution of the disillusioned
No one's excluded from the execution
The clouds are a gruesome grey
The ground will soon decay
No sound since they moved away
We found a true escape
I'm afraid I won't say the right words
That I will choke on the dirt
When all of this is on my mind
The time will come for us
