They march off to war, think they're saving the world.
By causing the deaths of poor boys and girls.
Behind the glory, there's a trail of despair,
Shed innocent blood but nobody cares.
They say it's for freedom, but what is the cost?
War crimes concealed, lives shattered and lost.
They're trained to obey, to have no moral ground.
They march into battle and the innocent drown.
I will not stand for your idolatry!
I will not pledge my loyalty!
I will not bow to your authority!
I will kneel for the world to see
In protest of your brutality!
They wear a badge, think they're above the law.
Roaming the streets, it's fear they draw.
An oath to protect, an oath to serve
But handing out judgements no one deserves
Trigger happy, they say they're in fear.
But delivering pizza is a more deadly career
How is it heroic to just do your job?
Blue collar hirelings; a legalized mob.
I will not stand for your idolatry!
I will not pledge my loyalty!
I will not bow to your authority!
I will kneel for the world to see
In protest of your brutality!
You wave your flag, the stars and the stripes,
But beneath the surface it's just empty hype.
Hand on heart, you don't question the lies,
They celebrate freedom while justice dies.
You wave your flag proudly, but it means so much more.
Power for the rich, oppression for the poor.
So break the chains of blind loyalty.
God damn America and all its idolatry!
I have no allegiance to a rag,
Of the most divided nation imaginable,
Or to the oligarchy for which it stands,
A failing nation,
Undermining God,
Indefensible,
With liberty and justice... for few.
I will not stand for your idolatry!
I will not pledge my loyalty!
I will not bow to your authority!
I will kneel for the world to see
In protest of your brutality!
