You may find yourself in a real dark place, thinking to yourself that there's no hope
And it makes sense, because we live in a fallen world where the author of lies and destruction, for now, is allowed to rule and run rampant
But there is hope
You see, God tells us, in this world, you will have trouble
But take heart, for I have overcome the world
You having troubles does not mean that you are a failure
In fact, it means that you are human
The hope is that even though the devil rules this world and is allowed to bring all of those struggles, God has still overcome this world
So what do you have to do
Don't quit
Be courageous
Keep running the race
Being courageous and being brave doesn't mean the absence of fear
It means being afraid and still moving forward
You can't control what happens to you, but you can control how you respond to it
And that's where power is
You see, God doesn't call you to have it all together, but to surrender and know where to turn when you are down
His Word says that in our weakness, then we are made strong when we rely on Him
So I get it
Life can be scary
You may feel lost, alone, and overwhelmed
You may have made some bad choices in life and feel guilty, and that you can never be forgiven again
But that is all a lie
You see, Christ died on the cross to save you from your pain, to heal and mend your brokenness
So please, don't quit
You are worth it
You are forgiven
You are redeemed
You are loved
So set aside everything that is weighing you down and causing you to stumble
The testing of your faith produces steadfastness, and your ability to not quit will leave you lacking nothing
Keep fighting and rejoice even in your trials
And when you get knocked down, get back up again
Keep getting back up again
And when you fall, look up to heaven and know that even in the midst of your troubles and your pain and in this darkness
There is a light
