The cold is here
And the corpse smiles at me
Frozen and frostbitten
With black empty eyes
I smile back
Hold her brittle hand
My heart is vacant
How can I feel nothing
Biting fingernails
For the day's sustenance
And the ice grows
Oh deeply does it thicken
Numbing my skin
Penetrating further
Into my heart
Where life and death are one
On the concrete there is ice
And in my mind it grows
I feel nothing as I slowly die
I am nothing
Smiling at the black corpse
The city is silent
But the silence is loud
As death pierces my soul
Like the sharp knife of winter wind
