If I were a penguin
I'd waddle all day
And night
Go about the glacier
Feeling joy for the
First time
If I were a penguin
I'd explore around
The shore
Collecting them pebbles
Constructing a nest
Or hoard
Oh but I'm not one
To forget what is there
In my life
Yet there's a calling
Somewhere close maybe deep
In my mind
Not a penguin
A man
With a penguin's mind
Not a person
A bird
With fish in his sight
A penguin
A bird
I wish my wish was heard
If I were a penguin
I'd slide and glide on
The ice
Waddle up a steep slope
Look up at the sky
And fly
Oh but I'm not one
To forget what is there
In my life
Yet there's a calling
Somewhere close maybe deep
In my mind
In my mind
I wish I could ignore it
And pursue other things
Yet being a penguin
Feels more than a simple dream
Not a penguin
A man
With a penguin's mind
Not a person
A bird
With fish in his sight
A penguin
A bird
I wish my wish was heard
Not a penguin
A man
With a penguin's mind
Not a person
A bird
With fish in his sight
A penguin
A bird
I wish my wish was heard
