Is it cool if I just rap?
If I just... Alright
It's Nomad
I am Icarus with iron-clad wings
I'm vigorously chasing high-class dreams
Tryna cut myself a piece of mine
Still I'm never sacrificing my peace of mind
Stuck to my craft and overtime seen the finish turn fine
As the line between love and hate
Give me power over fame
Or better yet give me the power over fate
I was always out of place
I played checkers with chess pieces
I went seeking happiness in all the wrong places
Searching for life's purpose
The bricks that they threw at me built the walls to my fortress
In which I found solace
Was in my solitude that I came across this knowledge
Of what self love is
This city of sinners, turns a saint sinister
But though our hearts are lawless still we pray to God above us
To domesticate the demons have them pledging their allegiance
But I digress, yes I'm heavy blessed
Tall as Everest how I'm standing above the rest
Only armed with my conscience I'm properly equipped for this
And if I die I beg you to put my remains in a sarcophagus
So future generations dig me up and they'll remember these
Days of our lives, these tales of our fights
All of the sacrifice just to get to the limelight
Been on my Frida Khalo
Self-portraits on these records
Waiting for me to break them
There's history to be made
And I'm hoping that you can follow me as I build me a following
His mama's boy and his father's son
A Thunderbird steady setting fire to the sun
The chosen one, the emancipation has just begun
Taking these baby steps on a thousand mile journey
Started off on the right foot marching towards glory
So I speak with the voice of a thousand people
For my generation of fragile egos
Overly medicated and iniquitous heroes
Poseidon with the wave, came through the sea rose
(Colors of you)
Young homie what's your dream worth
What you willing to sacrifice to make the dream work
Are you willing to risk it all for that dream worth
Or would you rather play it safe and never be much
