I come to you today to ask for forgiveness
I hope that I can earn it holding the tenant that Sunday is a holy day and a day for rest
I respectfully honor that and as such I will refrain from sinning today as much as I humanly can
But on Monday I make no promises
I will sin throughout the week as I always do
I'm sitting in the church pews every single Sunday
Closing my eyes as the pastor starts to pray
But my mind wanders to this weeks activities
And I get a feeling I describe as glee
But then I remember I'm sitting in church
I bring my mind back to focus on the words
I can't get excited while I'm in the sermon
When the service ends, I wave to Pastor Sherman
I know what Monday holds and I can hardly wait
I'm shaking with excitement and my soul starts to ache
I quickly head home to prepare for tomorrow
The fact that I can't start today fills me with sorrow
Night comes quick and I lay down in bed
A million billion thoughts are racing through my head
Of how I'm gonna start and who will be the first
Of this weeks bloodbath I can feel the thirst
It doesn't really matter how many I kill
I haven't been caught and I probably never will
I kill through the week and on Saturday it ends
Every single Sunday I'm absolved of my sins
Forgive me father for I have sinned and I will most definitely do it again
As soon as the sun rises on Monday I will enact the will of the devil and on Sunday I will ask you to forgive me again
These murderous tendencies follow me so endlessly
Relentlessly abusing me
Insanity confusing me
I fell right through the cracks and now I'm never coming back
I first see Red it's going dark and then it's straight up black
I'm coming to, my joy is full but I am not a fool
I gotta clean this mess up then dispose of all these tools
Now I'm home and wired wide but feeling all serene
I swear I saw the devil in my empty glass of Jim beam
