[ Featuring Jackson Dean ]
Wednesday morning, I was woken up late
The day started really not great
The Wi-Fi's down, no screen time today
Or at least that's what my parents say
To make it worse, my cereal box is empty
Do you know what I mean?
I stubbed my toe on my backpack on the floor
I forgot that I put it there the minute before
Mom and dad keep rushing that morning routine
I can't read the time, but if I could read the time
We're on time, it's fine
Do you know what I mean?
And when I got to kindy and I opened my lunchbox
My sandwiches were triangles, not squares
There's a little bit of crust left on the side
Gee, today just is not fair
Is it pick-up time already? Morgan took the big, red truck
This sandpit is gritty and cold
And gee, it's hard living in this big, wide world
It's tough being three years old
A piece of bark in my shoe
Do you like the picture I drew?
I got some paint in my hair
Have you seen my teddy bear?
I am hot, now I'm cold
I'm just three years old
Then all is quiet, just me and myself
I need a rest, got a book off the shelf
In my words, I read a story aloud
I bet that would make my mum and dad kinda proud
Than all of a sudden, I really need the toilet, please
Do you know what I mean?
When I got to kindy and I opened my lunchbox
My sandwiches were triangles, not squares
There's a little bit of crust left on one side
And it's touches my pieces of pear
Ooh, is it pick-up time already? Morgan took the big, red truck
This sandbox is gritty and cold
And gee, it's hard living in this big, wide world
Well, is it pick-up time already?
Oh, there's mom and dad
To pick me up and on that forever hold
And you know what, I'm doing it, and I'm proud
And I'm right here
Being three years old
