Driving north through Ohio
In the middle of nowhere
A woman there on the side of the road
She was frightened she was scared
Without a thought I pulled over
I had room to spare
To my surprise in the blink of an eye
The woman wasn't there
I looked in every direction
There's not as soul in sight
I wondered if I had fallen asleep
On this rainy summer night
By now my pulse was racing
A chill ran down my spine
I've never been one to believe in ghost
But this might have changed my mind
I made it back to my car
And I opened the door
Staring at me from the passenger seat
The same woman from before
My body it was frozen
As she looked in my eyes
Too in shock to be afraid
So I just climbed inside
She said don't you remember
A night much like tonight
I said mam I think you're confused
Are you feeling alright?
Her mood switched in an instant
And asked me to take her home
I had somewhere to be that night
How could I tell her no?
I asked where I should take her
She said just north from here
I made my way up the 109
Then she whispered in my ear
She said don't you remember?
It was three years ago
Right here on the 109
You swerved off the road
She said her car had broken down
She was all alone
It was only a couple of miles
So she decided to walk home
That's where she seen a bright light
A fire up ahead
I said I don't remember this
And she said cus' you're dead
