Sitting in the sunlit boat
Was a humble experience for me
Its sails had a scarlet red coat
That carried me through the sea
The wind was subtle at first
And mayhem was held restrained
But a sudden heaven burst
Came down as falling rain
My skin had been blessed
By the droplets of the sky
And I was stuck in what I attest
As my soul could not deny
My boat followed the path
Through the never-ending sea
I was enveloped in the rain's bath
Till I opened my eyes to see
No rain
No boat
No sea
It was merely a dream
The cold hard truth
Never dawned on me before
Now it's time to head to the voting booth
And wish my dream into the future
Forevermore
