Yahsshun Bluwu - What Did You Think? Lyrics

Started having conscious thoughts at the age of 12
I was simply overlooking all my blessings
Formulating conscience thoughts from the perspective of this world
I was never one to look at things at this world as Christian
What did you think
When a boy grew up without a father or without a father figure
Always growing asking why
Please I'm so sorry God
Looking at my failures I must be a hard sight to watch
Hold up for a minute
Let me look around
I'll give up all my presence so you can smile, Ay
Looking at the past
Looking at the rest
I was fortunate to have the lessons of the morals that I found
But it was never enough
Never made me smile
Simply never gave the fruit of joy
Unlike the word of God
For those who always sought the word of God and found
So take a minute now, to look around
And see the people living life, fine without a sense of grace
But empty on the inside, please tell me
Please tell me what you think about them now

Now can they ever be saved
Or is it up to me to do my bidding
Spreading of the gospel and the word
Social media managing our senses
Got a whole generation
Deviating from our lovely father figure
Like, what's a brother gotta do to be a role model
To be nothing of this world
Surely isolating everything to everybody
Was not what you had in mind
Revival looking dim
As the grace of the spirits of the youth
Turn to look for God, but in return
Turn away to glorify, validate scripture
All evil turning good and all the goodness in the world
Being twisted by the devil, twisted by the left
Divide and conquer the people
To the paradox to the right and to the left
Where neither brother or sister
Has the love to always overlook
Men going their own way
Cause women are the victims
And men are all to blame
Look and see the bigger picture
If we didn't need another
Reproducing homo asexual
Would epitomize the methods of today
That's why you need a
Father and a mother yay
That's why you need a
Father and a mother yay

Now what did you think
When a mother took upon to do nothing but nurture and provide
Or when a mother had to live from paycheck to paycheck
On nothing but zeros and not a single comma for conscious or pride
With all of her son's
Savings down to the brim
Of the concrete jungle, where we reside
Instead what could of been a car
To support all the bills
Inevitably became oppressing of a shut-in lifestyle
With no where to go, no one to ask
I found myself going down deep to the lily of the Nile
Where the rivers are dry and the Canals are foul
Sometime I'd just wander around wondering if it's me or the heat
Stuck in the utmost bare places by the dessert
I was looking for answers that were staring me dead in the eye
And here I was wondering if the life that I was living was nothing but a lie
For it was only for his grace that I made it by
Couldn't tell you how many times it was easy to blame
Cause what did I think when a boy grew up without a father
Or without a father figure always growing asking why
Daddy couldn't stay he learned no other way
His daddy smoked and died
And didn't hesitate to do the same, neglecting any way
What did I think when a mother had to live from paycheck to paycheck
With nothing but zeros and not a single comma for conscious or pride
Of course as someone who couldn't provide
I had to limit my meals to fight off the hunger
To limit my growth and all desires
Not that any of it matters cause now I know who I am but
Please tell me what you think about my story
And what you think of me as a person now
