It's kinda crazy what these kids can think of
They keep me on my toes like a man who is in love
I love this job, man I wouldn't wanna do nothing else
I love the feeling that it gives me when I'm hating myself

Moved from Instructor one to the chapel man
And I ain't never had this fun planning chapel man
Every week new topic something fun to learn
Teaching Jesus, kids tuned in, now they feel discerned

If I don't teach 'em bout the spirit who gon teach 'em bro
This generation is cooked and they don't even know
I hear 5th graders talking about the things I didn't know till I was 15 years old
And I'm still like woah

Once I did a couple chapels boss said"Good job"You're doing great I want to hit you with a new job"
Well now I'm hype, I looked at her and said"Turn up"
She said"Here's my plan start a Bible Club"

I start a Bible Club and the kids love it
Teaching bout the Father I'm like God's puppet
We turning kids into Christians and they wanna share it
One of my 4th grade girls went to school to declare it

It's not just the Jesus side I make an impact too
Because you never know what these kids are going through
A kid told me that she wouldn't come if I wasn't here
She said"Mr John thanks for a fun year"

I don't think y'all know what that means to me
Cause when I was young all the kids were mean to me
I'm making sure that all these kids are having fun
I'll make sure they laugh even if I look dumb

I never thought I'd make a song about it
But these kids they mean the world to me so I had to tell you guys about it
Everyday waking up saying"Let's go to work"
It's funny cause before this I was a store clerk

But this job brings me nothing but joy
They say"Let the girls handle the kids this ain't for a boy"
Well let me say that every kid needs a father figure
That's why I don't care when they call JohnnyD a Mister

Dang, yeah that makes me feel old
But I'm doing it right cause of what I've been told
You know it's crazy when they're home and they still talk about you
Get picked up the next day and their parents know your name too

I think it's where I need to be
I might be the one in their life that's gonna teach
The Bible to them, and tell them bout the Lord
